The gospel of Matthew frequently delineates two classes of people. Disciples are either wheat or chaff; sincere worshippers or hypocrites; those who serve God or those who serve mammon; those whose fruit is good or those whose fruit is evil; those who are wise builders or those who are foolish. The Lord’s classification is brutally challenging.
